Growth in the HUMES Faculty and the retirement of one our most experienced and innovative staff members has given rise to the need for a Full-Time staff member with a passion for Film, English and literacy in the broadest sense of the term.

We are a forward thinking, innovative and welcoming faculty that prides itself on inspiring approaches to teaching and learning. With a genuine collegiate wide approach to sharing practice we are looking for an individual who is willing to teach across subjects with an infectious enthusiasm.

A proportion of your teaching timetable will involve A-Level Film alongside English, the ability and willingness to teach across other subjects is also welcomed. This is a great opportunity whether you are experienced, new to the profession or want to make the switch from an 11-16 school.

Candidates should have a commitment to further education and be motivated to achieve high standards in teaching and learning. The ability to work well within teams and to adapt to curriculum demands is essential. Ideally candidates should possess a good honours degree and a teaching qualification. The College is very supportive of new entrants into the teaching profession and we are therefore willing to consider applications from graduates who are willing to undertake a supported PGDE as part of their professional development.
