Head of Creative Arts (specialising in 3D Design)

Required From: 1st September 2022

Salary Range: £25,886 to £41,612

(Dependent on qualifications and experience)

Responsibility Allowance of £2,000 Per Annum

Contract: Full time, permanent

We are seeking to recruit an outstanding teacher of 3D Design to lead a well-established and successful Art and Design team at our College in the Cotswolds.  The successful applicant will have a genuine commitment to Art education with the ability to truly motivate and inspire learners, together with a commitment to raising academic standards and achievement. You will be a superb team player, with a proven track record of organisational skills and demonstrable passion for promoting the Arts in education. You will also have the ability to lead in driving forward course development to the very high standards we set. 

The postholder will be expected to:

  • Teach to a high standard, and develop the relevant skills to teach truly outstanding GCE A Level 3D Design provision (with the potential for teaching in other art or technology areas)
  • Support other teachers within the team
  • Support the students with the evaluation of their performance and coursework, recording their progress

The role of Head of Creative Arts represents a genuine and outstanding opportunity for a capable and dedicated person to explore their true potential as an area manager in this exciting field of education in our top performing college. The successful applicant will lead with the development of the new T level in Craft & Design, and work closely with the Creative Arts team to continue to improve an outstanding area of provision.  The job description for this role is attached.
