A group of A-level Geography students from Cirencester College have been working with local urban planners for the past year to develop ideas to feed into their neighbourhood plan with Cirencester Town Council, and recently attended a consultation meeting at the Corinium Museum with the local neighbourhood team to discuss these ideas further.
This gave the Year 2 students a fantastic opportunity experience first-hand the process that goes into our towns and local communities for future generations, and to see the different stages of the process throughout the year
Thomas Seale, Course Team Leader for Geography, said “This is an excellent way for students to understand more about the potential careers in Geography. We’ve also been able to bring some of the tasks back to College and complete them with other Geography students so they can also see how important Geography is at a local level, as well as the global level”
